Arlington's Schuster Takes 12th Overall at Walt Disney World Half Marathon

One of the favorites in the men's 35-39 age group at this May's inaugural Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas is certain to be Arlington, Texas' Patrick Schuster.
The 38-year-old has at least 11 Ironman finishes to his credit, according to realendurance.com, including four appearances at the Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.
He earned his last trip to Kona in November 2009 when he posted his only sub 9-hour Ironman finish to date at Ironman Florida where he was fifth in his age group in 8:59:25.
And this past October, he parlayed the year's worth of training into a 37-minute time improvement at Kona with a 9:10:40 finish -- good for 19th in his age group.
It was reported that he said after his finish at the World Championship that he was going to Disney World!
And that is where Schuster turned up on Saturday -- and in a big way.
He was 12th overall on Saturday in the Walt Disney World Half Marathon in Lake Buena Vista, Florida with a time of 1:16:14.
